It took me a while to understand what "midya" means (so slow of me, lol). At first, I thought it was another variety of Mangosteen, like the fruit Rambutan had a "maharlika" variety, or the Durian which has a lot of variety like native, puyat, arancillo, etc. :)

What "midya" means is "half" in Visayan language. But it was spelled wrong and I got confused, it should be spelled "medya" and Mangosteen was misspelled too. Anyways, Mangosteen is just among the fruits which can be seen almost everywhere in Davao City, especially during the Kadayawan Festival where there are bountiful harvest of different kindss of fruits.
